Last week, Santa received the notice for his biannual flight examination.  On 
Monday, as you would expect, he had the sleigh in top notch shape and his 
flight log and other paper work in order.  After the preflight equipment 
check, the flight examiner remarked that he was impressed with Santa's 
superior performance.

As they got in the sleigh and strapped in for the checkout flight, the flight 
examiner asked if Santa had any questions.

Santa said, "Yes, just one.  What is the shotgun for?"

The examiner said, "Well, I don't think I supposed to tell you this, but you 
are going to lose an engine on takeoff."
