What they mean:  You already know this, I just want you to remember that I
tell you what to do.

What they say: Have you thought any more about...
What they mean:  Get your lazy butt in gear so I can give you more work.

What they say:  I think that's an upper management decision.
What they mean:  Like you have a chance in heck of having a say in any
decision that would actually affect you.

What they say:  We called this meeting today because...
What they mean:  I want to give someone this crappy assignment, but don't
want anyone to be mad at me so I'm going to have everyone else decide for
me.
